August 2

Today we got another present from the east coast family.  Auntie Karen sent us a pac n' play with a napper and changing table!  So cool and very excited to have it.  Thanks Auntie Karen and Uncle Jimmy.  Now, we have a place where Juliet can sleep and something we can bring for her on our travels.  Pretty cool.
So, Juliet is learning some break dancing moves from her tio RJ already.  Even though he's in Brazil, we've still seen Juliet doing the worm in her mom's belly.  I expected kicks and punches, but its good to know we have a dancer on the way!
As a side note, Julie has gotten her thesis signed off on by two of her three readers.  Tomorrow she brings it to the third reader way ahead of schedule.  One signature more means a master's degree!  We're all so proud of her.

From our gender ultrasound at 14 weeks.  Already a thumb sucker!

Monday, August 1

We've made it to August and Julie feels like things should be getting easier (we'll see).  The due date is October 14, but Julie is also convinced that the baby is coming at least as early as October 3, but probably more.  I guess the hope there is that she is short enough that there won't be enough room and the baby will just pop out.  That wouldn't be bad, but I hope Juliet gets enough time in the womb.  One way or another, we are getting closer to that day.  For some reason, week 30 feels to me like the baby could come at any time.  We are excited to have our baby shower this Saturday, then we will spend next weekend setting up the baby room and picking out what she will wear on her first day home!  We balance the fun planning with the tough stuff.  Anyway, we are off to watch a tv show about teenage moms.  It makes us feel like we are actually prepared to handle what is happening.
